App-Specific Questions:

  • What setup is required to use ParcusBudget?
    Here are the setup steps:
    1. Preferences (1 minute)
    2. Categories (5-15 minutes)
Once those steps are completed, you can start entering your daily spending in your ledger. ParcusBudget will do the rest . . .
  • How many spending categories can I have?
We limit you to 100 categories, although we highly recommend less than 20 for simplicity and ease of maintenance.
  • Can ParcusBudget link to my bank account?
For your own protection, we don't recommend using third-party software that links to your bank account. ParcusBudget was intentionally designed to be a focused budgeting app, not a full-fledged financial management program. We also don't recommend tracking non-discretionary expenses and spending in ParcusBudget.
For example, why track 60 car payments when you are contractually obligated to make those payments? It's simply a waste of your valuable time. Other examples include: mortgage payments, loans, monthly utility and other bills, home and auto insurance, subscriptions, gym memberships, and auto registration. Although, many of the above items are worth evaluating whether they can and should be eliminated or reduced BEFORE starting a budget.
